Washing machine and tumble dryer Gorenje Premium Touch, of a design author Rok Jenko and co-author Lidija Pritržnik from Design Centre Gorenje, under a management of prof. Janez Smerdelj, were awarded with the Red Dot Design Award in the international group of the best in the category of product design 2005. Beside attractive look, created by vertical convolutions and a minimalist interpretation of the design elements, the Premium Touch appliances have been awarded also because of the state-of-the-art technology. International jury, which has granted the award, has recognized Gorenje's new generation of washing and drying machines as a new trend setter in beauty of clothing care.
»Vertical convolution on the front panel and a minimalist interpretation of the design elements give the appliance its characteristic and attractive appearance. The outer form of the washing machine is identical, which enables integration in terms of design. Its improved functionality enables the user to wash and dry clothes more easily and effectively. A large 33 cm wide door with an opening angle of more than 180 degrees marks it easy to fill and empty the washing machine«.
